Last September was Merry Go Round's first ever kids consignment sale.
We had such a great sale because of YOU.
Whether you were a consignor, a shopper or a helpful volunteer, YOU made it happen.
I have spoken to many of you about our upcoming event April 17-19, 2012 at the Parkville Athletic Complex.
Many of you shared your experience with me and I'm very grateful.
Some of you shared how well organized the sale was, or about the great deals.
A couple of you shared personal stories of specific items you purchased for your children.
I loved all of it!
Stories From Shoppers
One person purchased a limited edition ride on electric Harley Davidson motorcycle for $50.
The child's father has a Harley himself and the child insists that he park his Harley right next to his dads.
So sweet!
Another child got a ride on dinosaur and I must say, had my son been any younger, this would have been ours!
It is way cool.
But the child who got it, now has a new best friend.
I spoke with the mom and she said that their daughter feeds the dinosaur at every meal!
I really enjoy hearing these stories.
These children may not have gotten these toys if they were not found at a kids consignment sale.
A lot of times, the retail price is just too expensive for families to pay.
Importance of Consignors
This is why we really appreciate our consignors.
Local families, wanting to make some money back to buy more for their kids.
At the same time, they are giving other families a chance to buy better-than-garage sale items that they can afford.
Some of us even purchase items and put them away for birthdays and holidays.
This makes life more affordable as well as not having to stress out at the last minute not knowing what to get.
It's a great feeling to open a closet door and decide which toy you want to give, not worrying about the family budget.
